Dairyland is a Kenyan brand that started out with ice cream products in 1979. It has since expanded to include chocolates, yogurts, chocolate spreads, topping sauces and an array of catering products.

Dairyland’s focus points are Innovation and quality. These, combined with the fact that the company has the largest cold chain infrastructure and distribution network, topped with the fun-loving nature of our staff, are the ingredients used to make it great.

The brand enjoys regional success in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Sudan.

Glacier Products Ltd is the only dairy FMCG to be awarded Food Safety Management Systems Certification FSSC 22000. Through its commitment to realizing its mission and vision of creating great quality products, the company endevours to grow the Dairyland brand to even greater heights.

Certification & Quality

Currently, Glacier Products Ltd is the only ice cream company in Kenya to have had ISO 22000:2005 certification, which has since been upgraded to FSSC 22000. This latter certification is fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Iniciative (GFSI), and shows that the company observes the highest hygiene standards and stringent procedures to ensure that only safe and quality products are delivered to customers. Also Dairyland is HALAL certified, and suitable for lacto vegetarians.

Thanks to its fan base, Dairyland has been awarded Superbrand status from 2009 to present. It is the company’s intention to maintain brand leadership in the East and Central Africa market.
